As an Armed Security Officer supporting a critical utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and utility operations staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, operational areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or unauthorized access concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and maintain visitor and contractor entry records in accordance with site-specific policies.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders when appropriate.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, and other security-related observations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least two years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
