Security Officer Unarmed Foot Patrol

As a Security Officer in Saint Paul, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. In this role, you will deliver strong customer service and communication while working with an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities across an educational location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with campus contacts and/or public emergency response partners as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, common areas, parking lots, residence-related exterior areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, assist with visitor and vehicle traffic control, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations according to site instructions.
- Support campus events, after-hours building checks, and/or special assignments while maintaining a professional presence and providing assistance to the location community.
Minimum Requirements:
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- Baton certification is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
