Security Officer - Access Control Specialist

As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Minooka, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in access control at a manufacturing and industrial location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and helping to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. You will use your communication skills and professionalism to support a secure environment for employees and visitors alike. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to support a secure environment.
• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by assisting with access requests and information.
• Respond in a calm, problem-solving manner to incidents and critical situations that may arise on site.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, or potential hazards observed during shifts.
• Assist with emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal or site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
