Security Officer - Guard Shack Job in Minooka, Illinois

As a Security Officer Visitor Verification in Minooka, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-related records.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, warehouse areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or policy violations.
- Monitor access-control systems, alarms, and cameras as assigned, document observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
