Security Officer Access Point Operations Job in Mobile, Alabama

As a Security Officer Access Point Operations in Mobile, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain a visible presence that helps deter security-related incidents. You will communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while supporting smooth operations. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, manage visitor entry procedures, and maintain accurate access-related records.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of facility access areas, loading zones, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, delivery personnel, and drivers while supporting the orderly flow of people and vehicles.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
