Security Officer Access Control Patrol Job in Moreland, Georgia

As a Security Officer Access Control Patrol in Moreland, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with visitors and team members while contributing to a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, tenants, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail and mall location, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter spaces, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas; report suspicious behavior, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel or emergency services as directed.
- Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation while communicating professionally with site contacts, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least two years of security-related experience.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
