As a Security Officer - Access Control - Weekdays in Harrisonburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As a Security Officer specializing in access control at a logistics and distribution location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for personnel and property. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility. By remaining visible and approachable, you will help foster a sense of trust and security among staff and visitors. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution facility, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and/or delivery personnel with site-related inquiries and directions.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain order within the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify security-related concerns.
• Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents, or suspicious activities to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel or site management.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including coordinating with local authorities and Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential disruptions and promote a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
