Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support patients, staff, and visitors with outstanding service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or calls for service according to site protocols.
- Work closely with hospital personnel, first responders, and Allied Universal leadership during medical emergencies, visitor issues, and/or other urgent events while maintaining professionalism and clear communication.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a New Jersey RPO Certificate.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
