As a Security Officer Armed Access Control in Nashville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location where you will help manage access control, monitor assigned areas, and perform routine patrols while remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is an armed post requiring professionalism, strong communication, and a customer-focused approach. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or officials by carrying out site-specific procedures, verifying credentials, and managing access at designated entry points within a government location.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access, and communicate access requirements in a professional manner.
- Screen visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries, maintain accurate access logs, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site leadership.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, lobbies, and perimeter areas, noting security-related concerns and documenting observations according to site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
