As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. This driving post requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver's license. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and other individuals at a government corrections location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeters, access points, and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unusual activity, policy violations, or facility concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and coordinating with appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal policies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
