Security Officer Access Control Driver

As a Security Officer Access Control Driver in Nederland, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic utilities location, helping monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and support a secure environment through strong communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Guided by a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering service with integrity and teamwork.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to all visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge verification, and other security-related policies for a utilities location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, log visitor and vehicle activity, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and reporting procedures.
- Communicate with site contacts, employees, and/or emergency personnel regarding access issues, unusual activity, and security-related concerns.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as assigned, while observing for suspicious activity, access control concerns, and maintenance issues that may need to be reported.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
