Armed Security Officer - Broadcast Center Job in New York, New York

As a Armed Security Officer - Broadcast Center in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic media and technology location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to concerns. This role requires an Armed Guard Card/License and offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional customer service and communication while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, teamwork-driven, and integrity-focused values.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and production personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a media and broadcast location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, studios, production areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols and applicable laws.
- Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports related to patrol observations, incidents, access-control activity, and other security-related matters.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Possess a law enforcement officer license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
