As a Security Guard NYS Licensed Patrol Unit in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a dynamic government transit location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. - Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, following post instructions, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate at a government transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, while documenting relevant details and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout platforms, stations, entrances, public areas, and surrounding perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, observe passenger and visitor activity, and assist with directing the public while reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and other security-related issues.
- Support crowd management efforts during peak travel periods, service disruptions, special events, and/or emergencies by maintaining visible presence and communicating with site contacts as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
