Security Guard - Retail Floor Patrol

As a Security Guard - Retail Floor Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and high visibility. You will interact with visitors and tenants, providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail and mall location, including both interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or incidents to management and/or local authorities as directed.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials as needed, and helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.
• Support a welcoming environment for guests and employees while upholding security-related standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Experience with customer service is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
