Security Lobby Reception Guard - Corporate Building

As a Security Officer Lobby Reception Guard in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal at a front desk post in a commercial real estate location, where you will welcome visitors, support access control and badge activities, and monitor the lobby for security-related concerns. This role offers the chance to deliver outstanding customer service and communication while working with a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, and always acts with integrity in a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and front desk protocols at a commercial real estate location.
- Monitor access to the lobby and/or reception area, verify visitor information, issue guest credentials as directed, and help to deter unauthorized entry through attentive presence and reporting.
- Answer phones, greet guests, direct foot traffic, and support daily front desk operations in a courteous and professional manner.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting building contacts or emergency services when appropriate.
- Complete logs, visitor records, and other required reports related to security-related activities, building access, and/or front desk communications.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
