Security Officer Access Gate Attendant

Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic utilities location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and help support a smooth, professional experience for employees and visitors. You may conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related concerns, and bring strong communication, teamwork, and integrity to each shift in a caring, reliable, and innovative culture.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorization, and document visitor and vehicle activity to help support authorized access to the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, access points, and the perimeter to help identify security-related concerns, suspicious activity, and/or maintenance issues.
- Support screening and access procedures for deliveries, contractors, and/or restricted areas while following post orders and reporting policy or access violations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Have customer service experience preferred.
- Have access control or badge experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
