As a Security Officer - CRE Patrol Unarmed Full-Time in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a premier commercial real estate location. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents, while you perform routine patrols, conduct access control, and respond to various situations as they arise. You will provide excellent customer service, communicate clearly with all building occupants, and support a welcoming and secure environment. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients, carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a commercial real estate environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with security-related matters as they arise.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any unusual conditions.
  • Document observations and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to assist visitors, tenants, and staff with security-related inquiries and support.
  • Follow all instructions and guidelines as provided by Allied Universal and site management for commercial real estate properties.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Availability across various days and shifts
  • Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
  • A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
