As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control activities. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and team members, and report security-related concerns. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to customers, team members, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail grocery location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe customer and visitor activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
- Document patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities accurately and promptly in required reports and logs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
