As a Security Officer Front Desk Access Coordination in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a commercial real estate location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge procedures, monitor entry activity, and provide exceptional customer service. You will help maintain a professional, secure environment through clear communication and attention to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and building staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Maintain a professional front desk presence by greeting and directing visitors, answering inquiries, and providing access-related information in accordance with site procedures.
- Monitor visitor access, verify credentials, issue visitor passes when applicable, and maintain accurate visitor and delivery records.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate building personnel and/or emergency responders.
- Observe lobby and entrance activity, report suspicious behavior or security-related concerns, and help to deter unauthorized access to the commercial property.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Possess a guard card or license preferred.
- Have access control or badge experience preferred.
- Possess a state, county, or city-issued security-related license preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
