Security Officer Full Time - Commercial Building Job in New York, New York

As a Security Officer Full Time NYS License Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, exterior areas, access points, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain awareness of visitor and contractor activity.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
