Security Officer Full Time Front Desk - Commercial Building Operations Job in New York, New York

As a Security Officer Full Time Front Desk Operations in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a commercial real estate location, you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor entry activity, and provide outstanding customer service. You will serve as a professional, approachable presence while helping to deter security-related incidents through clear communication and attention to detail. What You'll Do:
- Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors at a commercial real estate front desk while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
- Greet and screen visitors, verify appointments and access authorizations, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor logs.
- Monitor lobby activity, access-control systems, cameras, and communications equipment; report unusual activity or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
- Maintain a professional front-desk presence, provide directions and information, and coordinate with building management, tenants, and emergency responders as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
