Security Officer Full Time Reception

As a Security Officer Full Time Reception in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a professional financial institution location as a Front Desk Security Officer, where you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor activity, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible, customer-focused presence. This role is ideal for someone who values communication, teamwork, and integrity while supporting a caring, reliable, and innovative environment.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a financial institution location.
- Monitor lobby and reception activity, greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, and document access and visitor information in accordance with site protocols.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper communication channels when needed.
- Support front desk operations by answering questions, directing visitors, coordinating with site contacts, and reporting unusual or suspicious activity according to established procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Have customer service experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
