As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Alarm Console in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide welcoming customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and support alarm response procedures. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including customer areas, entrances, exterior spaces, and perimeter areas.
- Monitor for unusual activity, potential hazards, and policy violations, and report observations to appropriate personnel.
- Assist with maintaining an orderly retail environment by providing directions, supporting access procedures, and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
