As a Security Officer Investment Company in NEW YORK, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier financial institution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access activity with professionalism. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a financial institution location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including lobbies, office areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, with attention to access control and other security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, help to deter unauthorized access, and report maintenance, operational, and/or security-related issues observed during the shift.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
