Security Officer Licensed Patrol - Corporate Building Job in New York, New York

As a Security Officer Licensed Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Professional with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and tenants. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate clearly, and deliver outstanding customer service while working with a reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, employees, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to the property, verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
- Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Be able to speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
