As a Security Officer Lobby Reception Specialist in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk Officer at a prestigious financial institution location, where you will welcome visitors, manage access and badges, monitor lobby activity, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a financial services location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception activity, greet visitors, verify identification and access credentials, and help to deter unauthorized entry through established front desk protocols.
  • Answer phones, assist with visitor registration, issue temporary access materials when required, and maintain accurate front desk logs and incident documentation.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Support a professional front desk environment by observing activity in the immediate reception area, reporting unusual behavior, and communicating clearly with employees, guests, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
