Security Officer Part Time Medical Facility Job in New York, New York

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a healthcare-related medical examiner facility while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
- Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, maintain visitor records as required, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established response procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including offices, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Prepare accurate written reports, maintain required logs, and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
