Security Officer Patrol Coverage Specialist

As a Security Officer Patrol Coverage Specialist in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading financial institution location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the site. This role offers the chance to deliver outstanding customer service and communication while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, lobby areas, common spaces, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verifying credentials and visitor access in accordance with site policies and financial institution procedures.
- Support daily operations by communicating clearly with staff and visitors, assisting with directions and questions, and completing required activity logs and incident reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
