Security Officer Retail Patrol

As a Security Officer Patrol Communicator in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. This role offers the chance to support access awareness, respond to site needs, and build strong communication with guests and staff while reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture.

- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, entrances, exits, sales floor, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor foot traffic, observe for potential policy violations, and communicate with store personnel and/or local responders when needed.
- Support daily operations by assisting with access monitoring, documenting incidents, and following Allied Universal post orders and client guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
