What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or team members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and sharing information through appropriate communication channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
- Support store operations by helping with crowd management, monitoring high-traffic areas, and assisting with security-related requests during opening, closing, and busy business periods.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued license for security-related work is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
