Security Officer Unarmed Store Patrol

In this unarmed role, you will complete routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to visitors, team members, and store leadership by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with the appropriate contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entry points, parking areas, receiving zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
- Monitor access to designated areas, observe customer and employee activity for security-related concerns, and report maintenance, hazard, and/or policy issues to site leadership.
- Support opening and closing routines, assist with crowd and line management during busy periods, and provide a visible presence that helps to promote an orderly shopping environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
