As a Security Professional - Mall Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure environment for a busy retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that may arise. You will interact frequently with customers and staff, providing exceptional service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, guests, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques as necessary.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify any potential issues.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or maintenance concerns encountered during patrols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials as required, and maintaining a visible presence within the location.
• Collaborate with location management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and provide a welcoming environment for customers and staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possession of a Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• State, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
