Security Officer Front Desk

As a Security Officer Front Desk in Newark, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a premier financial institution location as a Front Desk Officer, where you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badges, and support a professional, customer-focused experience. In this stationary role, you will help monitor entry activity, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate clearly with staff and guests while reflecting our agile, reliable, and caring culture built on teamwork and integrity.

- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Monitor lobby and reception areas, greet visitors, verify identification and/or credentials, and help manage visitor access in accordance with location policies.
- Answer phones, assist employees, guests, and vendors with directions and general questions, and report unusual activity or concerns to the appropriate contact.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting security-related events and visitor activity as required.
- Support a professional front desk presence within a financial institution location while helping to deter unauthorized access through attentive observation and consistent application of post procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
