As a Security Officer Healthcare Environment Patrol Full Time in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic healthcare location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide compassionate customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying authorized access, and directing visitors to appropriate areas in accordance with facility policies.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in required reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- Vaccines are required for hospital assignments.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
