Security Officer Lobby Operations Associate

As a Security Officer Lobby Operations Associate in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal at a residential location where you will serve as the welcoming front desk presence, helping residents, guests, and staff with access support, visitor interactions, and security-related concerns. This role blends customer service, communication, and attention to detail in a people-first culture built on teamwork, integrity, reliability, and innovation, offering a meaningful opportunity to make a positive daily impact.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential location.
- Monitor front desk activity, manage visitor access, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and document arrivals, departures, and other security-related events.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site management, residents, and/or emergency services when appropriate.
- Answer questions, provide directions, and assist with front desk communications while helping to support access control expectations for the property.
- Complete required reports, logs, and other documentation related to daily activities, unusual incidents, and/or policy-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
