Security Officer Patrol Credentialing

As a Security Officer Patrol Credentialing in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role offers the opportunity to support access activity, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and driven by integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, warehouse areas, parking lots, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit activity involving personnel, visitors, and/or delivery traffic, verify credentials and/or documentation as directed by site procedures, and document security-related incidents and daily activities.
- Support shipping and receiving operations by observing high-traffic areas, reporting damaged gates, doors, lighting, and/or other site concerns, and assisting with emergency response activities when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access Control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
