Security Officer Patrol Screening Specialist

As a Security Officer Patrol Screening Specialist in NEWARK, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access activity with strong customer service and communication. - Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, dock doors, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor the movement of people, vehicles, and/or deliveries entering and leaving the location, following site protocols for screening, visitor handling, and incident reporting.
- Support day-to-day operations by communicating clearly with drivers, visitors, and site personnel regarding post orders, restricted areas, and/or observed issues requiring follow-up.
Minimum Requirements:
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
