Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a government location, where you will help monitor entry points, screen visitors and/or staff, and support access procedures while providing outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will remain visible, conduct routine observations, and help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Screen individuals, personal property, packages, and/or vehicles in accordance with post procedures, and report prohibited items, unusual activity, and/or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Monitor entry points and access activity, verify identification or credentials as directed, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent screening-related practices.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating clearly with supervisors, staff, and/or public officials.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned, noting potential security-related concerns and reporting maintenance, access, and/or operational issues.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Alarm panel experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
