Security Patrol Driver Shopping Center Job in Newport Beach, California

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Shopping Center in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail center, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and employees. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. Bring strong communication and customer service skills while working with a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, parking facilities, exterior perimeters, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Assist with access control, directions, lost-property inquiries, and other visitor support needs while maintaining accurate activity and incident documentation.
- Help support a welcoming retail environment by observing site rules, reporting policy violations, and communicating professionally with shoppers, tenants, and site management.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Experience using handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or a baton is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
