As a Security Officer Patrol Officer in Newport News, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, loading and receiving zones, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, observe personnel and visitor movement, and report unusual conditions, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate contacts.
- Support day-to-day location operations by following post orders, maintaining an attentive presence, and assisting with incident response and/or after-hours facility checks as directed.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
