Security Officer Entry Point

As a Security Officer Entry Point in Nicholasville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic logistics and distribution location as an Access Control Officer, helping to monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a professional environment. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, verifying access permissions, and supporting security-related protocols at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, check credentials, process visitor access, and report unusual activity or access concerns to site leadership and/or emergency contacts.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and assisting with appropriate emergency response activities.
- Help to deter unauthorized entry, theft, and/or policy violations by maintaining awareness of facility traffic, screening deliveries and personnel as directed, and communicating clearly with drivers, staff, and guests.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned, noting maintenance issues, security-related concerns, and/or operational disruptions that could affect the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
