Security Officer Checkpoint Screening

As a Security Officer Checkpoint Screening in Niles, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, where you will help support security-related screening activities, monitor assigned areas, and remain visible to help deter incidents. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies at an aerospace and defense location.
- Perform screening duties for people, personal items, packages, and/or materials entering or leaving the location in support of security-related requirements and controlled access procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around designated screening areas, entry points, and the surrounding business and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
- Complete required logs, reports, and screening documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access by following post orders, emergency response procedures, and client-directed protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
