Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy marine terminal location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support badge access procedures while providing outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and attentive interactions. - Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, contractors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor and control entry and exit points for people, vehicles, and/or deliveries, verifying credentials, authorizations, and required documentation before granting access to the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, gate areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
- Assist with traffic flow, visitor processing, and checkpoint operations in an active terminal environment while following post orders and established security-related procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a TSA issued TWIC card.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
