Security Officer Patrol Job in Norfolk, Virginia

As a Security Officer Patrol in Norfolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas to help identify unusual conditions and support security-related operations.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with site policies, directing visitors and contractors to appropriate check-in procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification protocols.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of observations, incidents, patrol activities, and policy violations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- CPR certification is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
