Security Officer - Driver Perimeter Patrol

As a Security Officer Driver Perimeter Patrol in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic automotive location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related screening, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production, warehouse, parking, and perimeter areas to help identify security-related concerns and report maintenance, access, and/or policy issues.
- Monitor entry and exit points, vehicle traffic, and/or pedestrian activity to help support site rules, visitor processing, and authorized access practices.
- Assist with security-related incident reporting, alarm response, and/or coordination during operational disruptions at an automotive location.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
