Security Officer - Patrols
As a Security Officer Patrol Officer in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an automotive location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production, warehouse, parking, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, observe pedestrian and vehicle traffic, and verify credentials and/or visitor processes in accordance with site policies.
- Support daily operations by reporting maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or hazards, and escalating issues through proper channels.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs. is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Experience working in a primarily driving post is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
