Security Officer Unarmed - Full Time Job in North Charleston, South Carolina

As a Security Officer Unarmed - Full Time in North Charleston, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will support employees, visitors, and deliveries with professional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a logistics and distribution location.
- Control access to the facility by verifying identification, visitor authorizations, delivery appointments, and/or contractor credentials in accordance with site procedures.
- Monitor entry and exit points, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, issue access credentials as authorized, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregularities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency services when directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Possess customer service experience, preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
