Security Officer - Access Control Driver

As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in North Liberty, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entrances, check credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence and attention will contribute to a secure environment for staff and visitors. This is a driving position, so a valid driver's license is required. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication, embodying Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, and integrity as you work collaboratively with others in a caring and innovative culture.

What You'll Do:

• Control access to the location by verifying credentials of individuals entering and/or exiting the premises, in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment for employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Provide customer service by assisting individuals with access-related inquiries and directing them as needed within the logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and security-related situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter to observe for irregularities and report any security-related concerns to management.
• Document all access control activities, incidents, and observations in logs and reports as required by site procedures.
• Coordinate with site personnel and emergency responders when appropriate to support emergency response activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
