As a Security Officer Armed Driver Digital Reporting in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government locations.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report access concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations through established channels.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable site procedures and coordinating with emergency responders when needed.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and interactions with the public.
Minimum Requirements:
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate is required.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
