Security Officer Access Specialist

As a Security Officer Access Specialist in Wilkesboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a fast-paced food and beverage location. In this role, you will monitor entry points, manage badges and visitor access, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Guided by a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will help create a professional and welcoming environment with integrity.

- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and documenting entry and exit activity at the location.
- Monitor entry points, gates, and/or screening areas to help restrict unauthorized access to production, warehouse, and other controlled areas within the food and beverage location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and emergency responders when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual conditions, checking doors and access points, and reporting security-related concerns according to site policies.
- Support daily operations by maintaining accurate logs, preparing incident reports, and assisting with security-related procedures involving deliveries, contractors, and/or visitors.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 2 years of experience in security-related roles.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
